In celebration of the opening of the special exhibition, High Style: the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection, Legion of Honor teaching artists offer exhibition-themed art-making activities.
Visitors are invited to make their own cocktail hats and fascinators inspired by Elsa Schiaparelli's surrealist works, including the patterns, colors, motifs, and imagery seen in the exhibition.
Artists encourage everyone of all ages to participate and tap into their creativity.
In honor of all of those who have served the country, the Legion of Honor offers free general admission on Veterans Day to all veterans and active military personnel with military ID.

On Armistice Day in 1924, the California Palace of the Legion of Honor opened its doors to the public. Dedicated to the 3,600 California soldiers, sailors, and marines who gave their lives during World War I, the Legion of Honor pledged to “honor the dead while serving the living.”
