Leadership Circle, Patrons Circle, and exhibition sponsors are invited to the opening celebration of East Meets West: Jewels of the Maharajas from The Al Thani Collection, featuring behind-the-scenes highlights with Martin Chapman, interim curator in charge of European art in the John A. and Cynthia Fry Gunn Theater. Guests enjoy an exclusive reception, where traditional dress is encouraged, and preview the exhibition before it opens to the public, celebrating its exploration of the cultural and material exchanges between India and Europe through jewelry and precious objects ranging from the seventeenth century to the present.
