Beyond the Paint Podcast
The Teen Advisory Board wrote and produced a podcast inspired by the Contemporary Muslim Fashions exhibition at the de Young. The podcast explores themes of modest fashion, individual expression, social media, and global exchange. Learn more and start listening.
Are you curious to know what it’s like writing and recording a podcast? Click here for a behind the scenes interview with our Teen Advisory Board members.
Teen Programs collaborated with Youth Radio during Contemporary Muslim Fashions to create a teen tour and to interview Hoda Katebi—blogger, photographer, and social-media influencer—who was featured in the exhibition.
Teen Advisory Board
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is composed of 10 San Francisco Bay Area high school teens enrolled in public, private, and home-school programs. Together they plan, host, and promote teen events and digital content. TAB Members are paid minimum wage for their work and meet on Friday afternoons 10 months out of the year. For more information, check this webpage in spring 2019.
